Parkhaven Retirement Volunteer Needed in Manhattan

6/9/2014

This is a great opportunity for someone living in the Manhattan area. 1 hour a week would be great throughout the gardening season. Retirement community garden check-ins, watering, thinning, weeding, harvesting, taking any veggies to their kitchen, being social with the seniors, assisting in needs at the garden, or just making a presence once a week in the garden (even if you are relaxing), etc. Any time during the day and week. Once every couple of weeks an email update is requested. For more details, contact Johni at grow@sagegardeners.org. Master Gardener hours apply. Your help is sooo appreciated!

    Jonquil

Johni founded Sage Gardeners in 2010. She "primarily" focuses her talents and energy as the executive director, program director, communications, fundraising, and development director, and most importantly, volunteer coordinator.   She holds both an undergraduate and graduate degree from the University of Denver in environmental science and environmental policy (respectively). She has a level two Master Gardener certificate (working on the third), studying horticultural therapy and nutrition student, and always a warm weather seeker.
