The Private Residence Project will focus on seniors with low to moderate income in Montana. Sage Gardeners will create, build, and assist in maintaining accessible raised organic vegetable gardens in the private backyards of seniors. Sage Gardeners will assist in harvesting, and putting the gardens to bed, as well as assisting in maintaining the gardens annually and/ or aiding in purchasing fresh compost, mulch, plants, and seeds for the following years. Sage Gardeners will build the raised gardens in the back/ front yards of the senior’s residence; and will provide on-going support to the individuals. This process will be modified to each senior's need and ability. Our goal is to reach as many gardens as possible each season. We will build continually as the season progresses and as additional funding is acquired. This year was met with a waiting list!
